History of Braid
Braid Flooring ...and Window Fashions'
26-year track record dates back to 1979, when Bill Knight Flooring,
a Winnipeg-based company, established a branch in Saskatoon. In
1986, Braid Flooring Ltd. was incorporated, beginning a tradition
of superior service, quality and innovation. Later that year,
Jeff and his staff obtained their first major public contract
with CAIRNS HOMES, a local homebuilder. Since then, Braid Flooring
has worked with numerous homebuilders in addition to working on
many public projects such as the Ronald McDonald House, The Mendel
Art Gallery and the Cameco building. In 1989, Braid Flooring moved
to a larger space and celebrated the grand opening of its new
Millar Avenue location.
In 2006, Braid Flooring ...and Window Fashions
grew even more by expanding its showroom space so it could offer
a wider selection of products, which include HunterDouglas Window
Fashions line of products. That same year, Braid Flooring...and
Window Fashions was also selected by STAINMASTER Canada as the
exclusive STAINMASTER Flooring Center for Saskatchewan.
As a locally-owned company, Braid Flooring ...and
Window Fashions knows the importance of giving back to the community
and continues to support Saskatoon by sponsoring various community
initiatives.
For its excellence in providing quality products
and services and for elevating the status of the company both
within and outside the home building industry, Braid Flooring
was awarded the Quality Assurance Award at the 1996 Bridges Awards.
The Bridges Awards is an annual event hosted by the Saskatoon
& Region Home Builders' Association to celebrate excellence
in the home-building industry and the creativity and ingenuity
of its members.
Braid Flooring ...and Window Fashions offers
customers innovative and unique flooring and window covering options
from around the world, in addition to carrying the most respected
major brands in the industry. It continues to lead the way in
quality and innovation by continuously searching for new products
to offer Saskatoon residents.
