Is luxury vinyl flooring waterproof?
Luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) is 100% waterproof, making it ideal for the kitchen, bath, laundry room, but it has a high-end style that makes it desired for installation in every room in the house. Some homes are places where once nothing but genuine materials would be considered. Feel free to come into Braid Flooring and Window Fashions if you’d like to explore luxury vinyl in Saskatoon.
What does waterproof mean?
When something is entirely impervious to liquid, like LVF, it means that it is constructed of watertight materials, in this case, vinyl. Nothing can ever soak through, whether the vinyl floors are spilled on or submerged. While water-resistant is considered almost waterproof, the liquid can seep in from the top or bottom, resulting in stains and a core that peels and ripples if not wiped up immediately.
LVF is unfazed by markers, crayons, dragged pull toys, or pets. It’s a layered product and, while all vinyl is durable, this is even thicker and should be at least 8-mm. The top layer is a transparent, strong sheet that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs and helps with waterproofing; spills sit there waiting to be wiped up.
What about design?
With images inspired by nature, photographs of wood, stone, and tile are taken with 3D photography, clear, accurate, and vibrant. LVF follows all the trends, with an almost endless number of colors and patterns. Micro beveling and embossing add depth, dimension, and textured appearances, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed. It can be cut into long planks to mimic hardwood or square, groutable pieces to echo stone or tile.
What’s more, it just needs a daily sweeping and weekly mopping, and installation can be the uncomplicated and fast floating floor, which is click, mat, and hover.
